1. General job duties. Types of procedures required. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) Paper documentation system, electronic medication administration system, Med Dispense system, electronic bladder scanner, Dinamaps, telemetry, glucose monitors, patient lift equipment (no-lift unit), VAC dressings, trapeze/traction, bariatric equipment, pediatric equipment. 3. Required skills and minimum years of experience. Must have excellent assessment skills, interpersonal skills, prefer more than 1 year experience as RN in hospital care. 4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc) BLS 5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) The employee will not work alone, no call, every other weekend required. 6. Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?) Floating is not required unless the employee has experience in another department and the department manager/supervisor agrees. 7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 25 acute patient Critical Access Hospital, potential for more than 25 patients with observation and swing level of care. 8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) 1:4/5 9. Dress Code: Scrubs per hospital policy, no particular color required. 10. Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. 1-2 shifts with another RN on the shift hired for to become accustomed to the systems and flow of patient care.
