Our Audio Visual Team is seeking to hire a Solutions Architect with at least five years of experience to join either our Albany, NY, Burlington, VT or Danbury, CT office. This position will be responsible for designing, scoping, planning and supporting complex audio/visual systems in a variety of customer environments.

* Develop designs that meet customer functional and budgetary requirements. * Generate functional and connection-level drawings for audio, video, control, and communications systems including scopes of work. * Create Engineering Design Packages (to include A/V control, video, audio, and networking schematics). * Generate and submit Bill of Materials (BOM) and assist with the ordering of A/V equipment and materials. * Coordinate the requirements, integration, and installation of A/V control system programs. * Define functional requirements for control systems programmer. * Support the on-site installation efforts of the team, including troubleshoot and debug AV systems. * Comply with company and customers safety programs. * Complete training programs from manufacturers, industry associations, and company as required. * Other duties as required or assigned by management. * Maintain a professional attitude and delivering excellent customer service.
* Minimum of five years of designing AV systems experience. * Experience conducting site surveys, designing and installing audio visual solutions. * Experience with control systems, video-conferencing, switching hardware, audio DSP setup and calibration. * Experience using CAD programs and Microsoft Visio. * Knowledge of networking fundamentals such as: TCP/IP, addressing, firewalls, routers, vlans, and VPN. * Strong knowledge of video switching and processing, audio DSP and control systems is also preferred.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
* This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. While a largely sedentary role, some lifting or carrying of items up to 50 pounds may occasionally be required. * Must be available for some evening and weekend hours. Occasional overnight travel is possible.
