Sanborn Head is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our Burlington, VT office. Candidates should be talented, dedicated, and self-motivated, have 1-3 years experience and possess an Associates of Science Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent education. Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail are essential. Preference will be given to candidates with solid waste engineering experience, civil/site design experience, and/or proficiency using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
The Engineering Technician position involves a combination of office and field work. Responsibilities include:
Preparing engineering calculations and technical documents;
Preparing and interpreting engineering drawings and calculations;
Monitoring and documenting construction;
Performing field-related tests;
Performing Construction Quality Assurance services on development and solid waste development projects; and
Designing with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Successful candidates must have a valid drivers license and an acceptable driving record. Successful candidates may be requested to attend and pass First Aid and CPR training, Nuclear Gauge Safety training, OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training, and annual 8-hr HAZWOPER refresher training. Additional training opportunities are available depending on project needs.
