The Office of General Counsel is looking for an Attorney admitted to practice in at least one state in the U.S. along with have 3-5 years legal experience (outside of law school), preferably in a law firm or corporate environment. The ideal candidate will have insurance (property/casualty) business/legal/coverage experience, strong verbal and written communication/presentation skills, analytical acumen, enthusiasm for working in a team-oriented, dynamic environment, and a strong service-oriented disposition.
The attorney filing the position will provide legal support to a variety of underwriting disciplines to support the underwriting activities of Chubb North America's business units.
* Statutory, regulatory and case law research and drafting legal memoranda; * Drafting or reviewing new insurance policies and endorsements; * Providing legal assistance in connection with the preparation and submission of product filings with state regulators; * Responding to regulatory criticisms on product filings; * Reviewing marketing material and assisting with new introduction of new products into the marketplace; * Providing general regulatory advice on commercial underwriting matters; and * Providing general legal advice in other areas related to Chubb's commercial insurance activities.
