As a member of Chubb Group's Actuarial Team, you will help support several global needs including reserving/financial reporting deliverables for offshore affiliated reinsurance companies as well as corporate price monitoring across all divisions. Responsibilities will be primarily focused on data management, spreadsheet development and maintenance, memo/report writing and ongoing communication with actuarial management.
As your career progresses at Chubb, projects will include extensive statistical analysis, pricing, loss reserving, research, forecasting, and predictive analytics.
Actuarial Analysts are primarily located in Philadelphia, PA and Whitehouse Station, NJ although this specific role is strongly preferred to be filled in Whitehouse Station, reporting to the Vice President of this unit. The position combines on-the-job learning with seminars and formal training, rotational opportunity, and time off to study for the Casualty Actuarial Society's series of exams.
We are looking for individuals who can successfully work as part of a team, are sophisticated communicators, able to manage time effectively, and enjoy finding creative solutions to problems. Qualified candidates should possess a degree in Math, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field. Math and analytical skills and proficiency in Excel is essential. A minimum of one Actuarial Exam is preferred.
* Support actuarial team by building and maintain Excel spreadsheets to organize/sort/analyze data * Update and maintain Access databases
* Undergraduate or Graduate Student in Actuarial Science; Mathematics; Science; Engineering; Economics or Finance with a Mathematics foundation. Strong GPA preferred. * Strong mathematical skills (including calculus, probability, and statistics) * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Access * Solid analytical and problem solving skills * Communication and influence skills * Ability to contribute to the attainment of business goals and objectives through teamwork
